Full Day 1 Guided visit of the Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum

Itinerary:

  • Begin your morning at 08:30, meet your English or French guide at the hotel. Then drive for about 45 minutes to reach the Pyramids. Two and half hours guided tour and enjoy walking around the three pyramids of the Kings Cheops, Chefren and Menkaraus at the last surviving of the Seven Wonders of the Old World. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramid of Chefren.
  • Enjoy an Egyptian grilled lunch at the 9 Pyramid Lounge Restaurant overlooking the Pyramids ( Option ) .
  • Carry on with a 45 minutes’ drive until you reach the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 overwhelming artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.

Full Day 2 Guided visit of the Evolution of the Pyramids including the Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Sakkara, and Memphis

Itinerary:

  • At around 08:00, meet your English/French speaking at the hotel then drive for about 45 minutes to reach the Sakkara Area. Begin with a tour of the evolution of the pyramids by a 1.5 hour visit of the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built around 2630 BC in the 3rd Dynasty for King Djoser.
  • Carry on with a two and half hours guided tour and enjoy walking around the three pyramids of the Kings Cheops, Chefren and Menkaraus at the last surviving of the Seven Wonders of the Old World. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren.
  • Enjoy an Egyptian grilled lunch while overlooking the Pyramids of Giza.
  • Short stop by the Papyrus factory & shop to have a lesson about the way it is made.
  • End your day with a tour at Memphis and spend about one hour visiting the capital of ancient Egypt. Having reigned as a cultural center for over 3,000 years, Memphis boasts stunning ancient sites which was founded by King Menes and was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt and see the Statue of Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.

Full Day 3 Guided visit of the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, and Khan El Khalili Bazaars

Itinerary:

  • Around 08:30, meet your English or French tour guide at the hotel then drive for about 45 minutes to reach the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 overwhelming artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.
  • Drive about 20 minutes to reach The Citadel of Salah El-Din was constructed by Salah al-Din on the Moqattam Hills in 1183 AD as a defend against Crusader armies. Known for its fresh air and sweeping views of Cairo, it is now a preserved historic site of mosques and museums, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha.
  • Designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq, who came to Cairo especially from Istanbul to build the great building, the mosque’s alabaster structure stands in beautiful contrast to the sandstone city.
  • 10 Minutes’ drive to the most famous Bazaars of Khan El Khalili at the Old Cairo to explore the area & to collect the Islamic & pharaonic gifts.
  • Enjoy Lunch at the Famous Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant in the heart of the market.

Itinerary:

  • Around 09:00, meet your English or French guide at the hotel then drive about 45 minutes to reach the area of old Cairo for a one and half hour visit of the oldest part of Cairo which has many fascinating Coptic churches and museums, including the Hanging Church – the Church of the Virgin Mary, the Ben Ezra Synagogue – the oldest in Egypt, and the remains of Babylon – a Roman fortress built for its strategic defensive position between Upper and Lower Egypt.
  • At around 12:45/13:45 drive back to the hotel.

Sound and Light Show in the Evening

Itinerary:

  • Meet your representative at the hotel before the start of the show with an hour.
  • Drive for 45 minutes will take us to the Sphinx area where the show place is.
  • Experience a 50-minute show at the Great Pyramids Sound and Light Show illuminated at night with a stunning audio-visual display. Learn about the history of Ancient Egypt and the story of the Sphinx, guardian of the Giza Necropolis for over 5000 years.
  • A breathtaking show telling the magnificent story of the history of the pyramids and glory of the Pharaohs, through lyric, light, and sound. Our representative will be at the exit and would arrange the transfer back to the hotel.
